Ionia Boys varsity Tennis battled Portland varsity tennis to a 4-4 tie. It was a tough match all the way around, our winning flights were- Sam Eppler (11) first singles 6-0,6-2, Miles Gregory (11) Second Singles 6-3, 6-3, Second Doubles won a tough match in tree sets Austin Currigan (11) and Jade Miller (12)- 6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 6-3, and third doubles Colter Clark (11) and Elijah Hatfield (11) also won a hard fought 3 set battle 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. No rest for Ionia Boys Tennis, Purple match for Varsity and JV September 16, 2021 at home courts at 4:30.
