MASON HIGH SCHOOL: 8
Ionia Varsity lost a tough away match 0-8 at mason High School. Sam Eppler (11) at first singles lost a hard fought match where the first set was a 6-6 tie and Eppler lost 3-7 in a tiebreak and the second set 4-6. Third doubles Colter Clark(11) and Elijah Hatfield (11) took Mason to three sets in the match but ultimately came up a bit short. It was the first action for some our JV players and Christian Miller (9), Levi Scheid (10) and Gabe Hatfield(10) whom all gave outstanding effort. Ionia Boys Tennis will regroup and be ready for the first home match of the season.
