WAVERLY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The Ionia boys varsity tennis team defeated Waverly Tuesday night with all flights winning. Sam Eppler won a great match at 1st singles 5-7,6-2 and 10-7 in the third set tiebreak. Jack Eppler won at 2nd singles 6-1,7-5. Brett Longanbach won at 3rd singles 6-1,6-0. Miles Gregory won at 4th singles 6-0,6-1.
At 1st doubles Collin Palmer and Brett Petersen won 6-1,6-0. 2nd doubles Ethan Rowland and Colter Clark won 6-0,6-1. 3rd doubles Landon Duell and Joel Cairns won 6-2,6-4. And 4th doubles Elijah Hatfield and Lucas Wandell won 6-1,6-0.
Ionia finishes at 9-3 on the year including winning all three invitationals. The league tournament is Thursday in Portland followed by the regional tournament next Thursday in mason.
