Ionia boys varsity tennis loses to Lansing Catholic

LANSING CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL: 7
The Ionia boys varsity tennis team lost a tough home match to Lansing Catholic Monday night 1-7. Sam Eppler was Ionia's lone winner at first singles 6-4,6-2. Jack Eppler lost a tough match at 2nd singles 6-4,4-6,4-6. Brett Longanbach lost for only the second time this year 3-6,1-6. And Miles Gregory lost a tough three set match 3-6,7-6,3-6.
In doubles Collin Palmer and Brett Petersen lost 3-6,2-6. 2nd doubles Ethan Rowland and Colter Clark lost 0-6,0-6. 3rd doubles Joel Cairns and Landon Duell lost 2-6,1-6. And 4th doubles Lucas Wandell and Elijah Hatfield lost 2-6,0-6.
Ionia is now 8-3 on the year and plays at Lakewood Wednesday night.
