LAKEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL: 1
The Ionia boys varsity tennis team defeated Lakewood Tuesday by a score of 7-1. 1st singles Sam Eppler lost a great match by a score of 3-6,6-2 and 6-10 in the third set tiebreak. 2nd singles Jack Eppler won 6-2,6-1. 3rd singles Brett Longanbach won 6-0,6-1, and 4th singles Miles Gregory won 6-0,6-1. First doubles Collin Palmer and Brett Petersen won 6-2,6-3 and 2nd doubles Ethan Rowland and Colter Clark won 6-0,6-0. 3rd and 4th doubles won by forfeit for Ionia.
Ionia is now 3-2 in duel matches and doesn't play again until next Wednesday with a league match against Eaton Rapids.
