LANSING CHRISTIAN SCHOOL: 3
The Ionia boys varsity tennis team defeated Lansing Christian Wednesday night by a score of 5-3. Sam Eppler list a heartbreaking match at first singles 3-6,6-7 (5-7 tiebreak). Jack Eppler lost a well played match at 2nd singles 5-7, 2-6. Brett Longanbach won at 3rd singles 6-0,6-1. Miles Gregory won his 4th singles match 6-2,6-3.
At doubles the first doubles team of Brett Petersen and Collin Palmer lost 2-6,2-6. Ethan Rowland and Colter Clark won at 2nd doubles 6-1,6-1. The 3rd doubles team of Joel Cairns and Ben Marhofer won 6-1,6-1. And 4th doubles Lucas Wandell and Elijah Hatfield won 6-1,6-1 also.
Ionia is now 1-0 on the season and has a tournament in Owosso Thursday and an away match with Fowlerville on Friday.
