Ionia girls varsity soccer team was defeated by Hastings by a score of 5-1 on Wednesday night. We found ourselves in a 0-4 hole at halftime and were able to correct some things to right the ship in the second half. 

Josie Lee was a standout defender for Ionia, and Tessa Masengale will take credit for the Bulldogs lone goal on a partial assist by Ava Benedict. 

Ionia's record stands at 2-2 on the season and will take on Lakewood in a home conference matchup on Monday, March 31.
