Ionia girls varsity soccer team was defeated by Belding by a score of 6-2 on Friday night. 

Natalia Magallon scored a goal for Ionia, and Ava Benedict added a goal and an assist on the night. Kaylynn Doty recorded 15 saves on the night, and Tessa Masengale created chances on the offense throughout the second half. 

Ionia's record stands at 1-1 and will take on Wyoming Potters House on Monday 3/24 in Ionia with a 6 pm Varsity kick-off.
