Ionia girls varsity soccer would only be able to play 29 minutes during their senior night game, but would come away with a big win despite the short game. Ionia would score 5 goals in the first 25 minutes and hold Lansing Eastern to 0 before the game was called due to thunder and lightning.

Natalia Magallon, Kelila Rustin, and Taylor Browne would each score a goal on the night. Katie Leonard and Isabelle Vasquez would both score their first goals of the season, and Kelila Rustin would add to her impressive stat column this season by adding two assists in the game. 

Ionia's record would improve to 7-8-3 on the season. We will take on East Grand Rapids on Wednesday at EGR with a 6pm kick off.

We also took the time tonight to honor our seniors in our program. This group of seniors has embodied what it means to be a pat of Ionia Soccer; culture, dedication, and being a part of something bigger than yourself. Our seniors include Aimme Cardoso, Addyson Roundtree, Enma Rio, Sadie Wilson, Mimose Sandborn, and Kelila Rustin.
