The Ionia girls soccer team traveled to Perry tonight and came away with a 5-0 victory.

Coach Anthony said the team started off with Kenzie Cotter scoring the first goal of the game giving the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead that they held through halftime. Kara Kramer opened up the 2nd half with a goal, and would end up with 2 goals on the night. Kelilah Rustin and Adrianna Hernandez each added a goal to round out the scoring. The defense led the way playing a great game and only allowing 3 shots on goal the whole game .

The girls are 1-0-1 on the season and play their first home match of the season on Thursday at 6:00 pm at Lloyd T. Smith Memorial Stadium.
