Ionia Varsity Girls Golf kicked off their season today at Shadow Ridge against Pewamo-Westphalia. The girls started out a little shaky, but pulled it together towards the end. Both the Bulldogs and the Pirates scored a 234, resulting in their first match as a tie. Ionia’s top scorer was sophomore Lila Redder with a 37, followed by juniors Lillian Croel and Gabrielle Meyers, and freshman Olivia Lemke. The Bulldogs next match will be played against Hastings, Tuesday August 20, at the Legacy.
