The varsity and JV golf teams traveled to Morrison Lake Country Club this morning to compete in the Ionia County Shoot Out against Lakewood, Portland and Pewamo-Westphalia.  This was an 18 hole tournament.

The varsity Bulldogs shot a team total of 354, landing them in third place behind Lakewood who shot a 308, Portland with a 347, the Bulldogs 354 and PW with a 426.  Medalist or the Bulldogs as Hobbs Pinnow who shot a 79 (40/39), followed by Lane Thomas (48/42) and Alex Yakes (45/45) with 90's, Ryan Barna with a 95 (46/49), Evan Nummer with a 98 (50/48) and Spencer Tooker with a 104 (54/50).  Hobbs Pinnow's 79 was the fourth lowest score for the tournament overall earning him a tournament medal and Hobbs' best round of golf this season as well as last season.

The JV Bulldogs brought home the championship trophy with a team total of 396 followed by Lakewood with a 415 and Portland and PW with 426's.  Medalist for the Bulldogs was Brett Petersen with a 96, Gunner Woods with a 97, Sam Meyers with a 99, Aden Wenzel with a 104, Seth Woods and Evan Vos with 108's, Owen Shippey with a 103, Tyson Brownell with a 115, Cameron Henry with a 122 and Jack Wickham with a 129.

The varsity competes in the CAAC White League 18 hole tournament on Monday at the Emerald golf course in St. John's with a tee time of 10am.

Both teams return to action next Wednesday for their final home match at Shadow Ridge GC against PW with a tee time of 3:30pm.  This match will also be senior/parent night where the seniors and their parents will be recognized.  This will also be the last match of the season for the JV team.
