The Ionia Girls' Cross Country team competed Cougar Falcon Invitational at Calvin College Complex. Today the athletes had the honor of being able to run around their new baseball and track complex. With a total of 10 teams and 76 girls participated in the race. Junior Carleigh Thompson led the team with a seasonal record time of 23:00.2, placing 41st. Freshman Ava Benedict finished in 49th place with a time of 23:39.8, while Freshman Fiona Sizemore placed 53rd with a time of 24:09.1. The rest of the team included Emma Lange finished 74th , Dakota Badder finishing 76th.
The Bulldogs next meet on Saturday, September 28th at the Blue Jay Sheperd Invite.
