The Ionia Girls' Cross Country team participated in their fourth 5K race at the Hornet Invitational. The invitational consists of separate races for juniors, sophomores, and freshmen. In this race, anyone who placed in the top 25 had the opportunity to bring home a medal. Out of the 4 girls representing Ionia, all 4 came home with medals. In the junior race, Angie Reyes finished 25th with a season record time of 36:00.47. In the sophomore race, Emma Lange finished with a season record time of 26:56.98. In the freshman race, Ava Benedict finished 4th, achieving a personal record time of 22:13.07, while Dakota Badder finished 23rd with a personal record time of 30:10.21. The Bulldogs’ next meet will be on Friday, September 13th at MSU Forest Akers East Golf Course.
