The Ionia Boys’ Cross Country team competed in the Shepherd BlueJay Invitational at Shepherd High School. 29 teams and 155 boys participated in the race. Our of 29 teams, Ionia placed 4th. At this meet, the top 50 runners in the race and Ionia High School medaled 3 boys. Junior Jaxxon Thelen led the team and placed 2ndwith a time of 18:33.26. Freshman Liam Thelen was close behind with a time of 18:49.76 placing 5th. Our third medalist, sophmore Connor Morrison placed 23rd with a time of 19:35.26. Dallas Baliff is in his junior year and ran 21:24.12, earning him a 74th place finish. Freshman Talon Thompson and Tylan Daniels earned season bests with the times 21:31.04 and 24:50.05 placing 76th and 128th overall.
The Bulldogs’ next meet is on Tuesday, October 1st, at the CAAC White Jamboree #2.
