The Ionia Boys’ Cross Country team competed Cougar Falcon Invitational at Calvin College Complex. Today the athletes had the honor of being able to run around their new baseball and track complex. A total of 11 teams and 91 boys participated in the race. Junior Jaxxon Thelen led the team with a time of 18:40.9, finishing in 53rd place. Following closely behind was freshman Liam Thelen, who finished 156h with a time of 19:01.2. Sophomore Conner Morrison finishing with a time of 19:41.9, placing 66th. Freshmen Cooper Highlen and Xander Towry finishing with season best times of 21:05.6, and 21:20.7 placing them 82nd and 83rd. Gabe Holman finished 86th, Talon Thompson finished 87th, and Tylan Daniel finished 90th.
The Bulldogs' next meet is on Saturday, September 28th, at the Blue Jay Shepherd Invite.
