The Ionia Boys’ Cross Country team competed on their home course for the 2024 CAAC Jamboree number one. The course was relatively flat with some small hills and the weather was humid. A total of 8 teams and 70 boys participated in the race, with our team placing 5th. Junior Jaxxon Thelen led the team with a time of 18:46.1, finishing in 15th place. Following closely behind was freshman Liam Thelen, who finished 17th with a time of 19:01.7. Sophomore Conner Morrison achieved a season-best time of 19:23.8, placing 24th. Freshman Cooper Highlen finished with a time of 21:53.6, placing him 49th. Junior Dalles Bailiff placed 51st, Xander Towry finished 53rd, Talon Thompson finished 54th, Gabe Holman finished 57th, and Tylan Daniel finished 63rd.
The Bulldogs' next meet is on Saturday, September 21st, at Calvin College for the Cougar Falcon Invite.
