The Ionia Boys’ Cross Country team participated in their third 5K race of the season at the 23rd Annual Marauder Invitational. Despite the warm and competitive conditions, the Bulldogs performed well, finishing 8th out of 11 teams in the varsity race and bringing home two medals. Jaxxon Thelen led the way with a time of 18:44.19, placing 16th, followed closely by Liam Thelen in 27th place with a time of 19:15.88. Conner Morrison finished 40th with a time of 19:52.84, Dalles Bailiff achieved a Season Best time of 21:11.19, placing 59th, Cooper Highlen finished 62nd with a time of 21:51.92, and Xander Towery finished 70th with a time of 22:20.68. In addition, Gabe Holman finished 86th with a time of 24:00.61.
The Bulldogs’ next meet will be on Saturday, September 7th at Central Montcalm High School at 8:30 am.
