CENTRAL MONTCALM HIGH SCHOOL: 41
The Ionia girls varsity basketball team won their opening district game against Central Montcalm Monday by a score of 52-41. The bulldogs led from start to finish. Brynn Reams led the bulldogs with 22 points and 14 rebounds, 18 points in the first half. Jessa Swinehart had 15 points and 5 rebounds, Josie Phelps had 7 points and Melayna Braman had 6 points and 7 rebounds. The bulldogs play Belding Wednesday at 6:00 in Portland.
