The Ionia girls varsity basketball team lost to Charlotte Friday night by a score of 39-24. Brynn Reams led the bulldogs with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Avery Roundtree had 5 points and 4 rebounds. Jessa Swinehart and Josie Phelps both had 3 points.
Ionia plays in the first round of the districts on Monday against Central Montcalm.
