The Ionia girls varsity basketball team lost a tough non conference game to St. John's Thursday night by a score of 40-35. Melayna Braman led the bulldogs with 14 points. Jessa Swinehart had 13 points and 7 rebounds and Brynn Teams had 8 points and 9 rebounds.
ionia is now 3-7 on the season and plays at Mason on Tuesday.
