The Ionia girls varsity basketball team defeated Sexton Friday night by a score of 51-17. Taylor Kirby led Ionia with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Morgan Canfield had 12 points and 3 assists. Brynn reams had 6 points and 9 rebounds and Melayna Braman had 9 points. Ionia is now 7-1 on the year and 2-1 in the league. The next game for the bulldogs is next Friday at home against Lansing Catholic.
