The Ionia girls varsity basketball team defeated Lansing Eastern Thursday night by a score of 61-38.
Leading scorers for Ionia were Taylor Kirby with 16 points and chipped in with seven rebounds. Morgan Canfield had 13 points and Brynn Reams had 9 points and 5 rebounds. Ionia is now 2-0 on the season and plays one game next week, a home contest vs league rival Portland next Friday.
