Ionia battled through a game of runs to secure a 63-56 road victory over Lansing Eastern. The Bulldogs jumped out to a commanding 20-8 lead after the first quarter but found themselves trailing 30-25 at halftime. Facing a 13-point deficit in the second half, Ionia responded with a dominant 35-15 run to close out the game and earn a hard-fought win.

Three Bulldogs scored in double figures, led by Colt Piercefield with 18 points, Spencer Tooker with 16, and Henry Castle with 13. Carter Starks added 8 points, Tristin Ciganick chipped in 7, and Wyatt Erridge contributed 1.

Ionia improves to 10-6 on the season and will host Mason on Wednesday.
