PORTLAND HIGH SCHOOL: 43
Ionia defeated rival Portland 51-43 to win the MHSAA Division 2 District Championship. Colt Piercefield led the way with 16 points. Spencer Tooker added 15 points and Max Doty 9 points. Rounding out the scoring was Henry Castle with 5 points, Hobbs Pinnow and Aden Wenzel with 3 points each.
Ionia will travel to Allendale to play Grand Rapids Catholic Central on Tuesday at 5:30 PM.
