IHS Senior Brynn Reams Competes in the MHSAA Track and Field State finals on Saturday June 4, 2022.
Brynn was the only member of The Ionia Girls Track and Field Team that qualified to compete at the State Meet in both the Discus and the Shot Put. Brynn finished 10th in the discus by throwing 117’-4” missing an opportunity to advance to the final round and getting 3 additional throws by 1 inch. In the Shot Put Brynn threw 34’-3.5” finishing 13th on the day. She completed her career with a PR in the Discus with a throw of 119’-4” at THe Regional Meet on May 21st in Ionia. She had a PR of 38’-2” in the CAAC Championship meet in 2021.
Ms. Reams will be attending Aquinas College next year playing basketball for the school. She will be missed next year, leaving Savanah Clark and Her sister Lilly Reams to fill in the throws events
