Congratulations to Emma White and Hobbs Pinnow who were named Independent Bank Student-Athletes of the Month for March.  Both student-athletes were recognized prior to the break by Independent Bank representative Boomer Hoppough at our March student awards ceremony.  The award is presented to seniors based on leadership, academics, and athletics.  Each student-athlete now qualifies for a chance to win the $1000 Independent Bank Student-Athlete of the Year scholarship presented on senior night to one male and one female athlete.

March Female Athlete of the Month: Emma White

College: Undecided

Major: Construction Management

Sports: volleyball (4 yrs), basketball (4 yrs), Tennis (1 yr), and softball (3yrs).  Will be a Block I recipient for the Class of 2024.

Academics: IHS Scholar-Athlete, CAAC Scholar-Athlete, CAAC Senior Scholar-Athlete, IHS Bulldog Scholar, IHS Senior Scholar, Academic All-State in volleyball and basketball. 

Leadership: Member of National Honors Society and Interact.  Captain of the basketball team.

March Male Athlete of the Month: Hobbs Pinnow

Parents: Sonya Pinnow

College: Trades School

Area of Study: Consumers Lineman

Sports: Basketball and Golf

Academics: IHS Honor Roll Student, IHS Scholar-Athlete, CAAC Academic All-Conference, and member of Academic All-State Basketball team.

Leadership: Volunteer coach youth basketball camp. 

Emma and Hobbs are not only successful in their respective sports but in the classroom as well, and serve as great role models for our younger athletes.  Congratulations to both of them for being recognized as the Independent Bank female and male student-athletes of the month for March!
