Congratulations to Addyson Roundtree and Seth Wandel who were named Independent Bank Student-Athletes of the Month for February. Both student-athletes were recognized last Thursday at our February student awards ceremony. The award is presented to seniors based on leadership, academics, and athletics. Each student-athlete now qualifies for a chance to win the $1000 Independent Bank Student-Athlete of the Year scholarship presented on senior night to one male and one female athlete.

Academics: Bulldog Scholar (21, 22, 23), Citizen of the Month (21, 22, 23), Senior Scholar, Honor Roll (7 consecutive semesters), IHS Scholar-Athlete, and CAAC Scholar-Athlete
Leadership: Captain of soccer and powerlifting teams, VP of National Honors Society and Student Council, Secretary of Superintendent Advisory Council, Member of SADD, Link Crew, Interact, Bridges, Principal Advisory Committee, and Youth Advisory Committee.

Area of Study: Criminal Justice
Sports: Track and Field (4yrs), Swimming (2yrs), Football (1yr), and Bowling (1yr). Honorable Mention All-Conference in Track and Swim
Academics: IHS Scholar-Athlete
Leadership: 2023 Ionia County Career Center Advisory Committee and Track and Field Throwers Leader.
Addyson and Seth are not only successful in their respective sports but in the classroom as well, and serve as great role models for our younger athletes. Congratulations to both of them for being recognized as the Independent Bank female and male student-athletes of the month for January!
