Congratulations to our girls swim, wrestling, girls basketball, and boys basketball teams and individuals for earning academic all-state honors from their respective coaches associations.  These athletes have shown their GRIT not only through competition but also in the classroom!

Girls Swim

The girls swim team earned academic all-state honors from Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association (MISCA) by being in the top 10 schools in division 3.  This years swim team members were: Grace Brown, Martina Sierra Clemares, Anouk Demel, Calah Holman, Brynn Lepien, Josie Phelps, Bella Reisbig, Marte Van Diest, Abbye Wood, Pippa Wood, Riley Browne, Alexis Burns, Madeline McGee, Sally Ruehs, Maelys Bonafe, Sydney Estep, Eily Martinez, Makenna Waterman, Taylor Browne, Johnah Hixon, Brynn Labadie, Katelyn Lamphere, Tessa Masengale, and Isabelle Robinson.

The girls swim team also had 6 individuals earn academic all-state honors Martina Sierra Clemares, Anouk Demel, Calah Holman, Brynn Lepien, Josie Phelps, and Marte Van Diest. Student athletes had to be seniors, earn a varsity letter and have a cumulative gpa of 3.65 or higher

Wrestling 

The following varsity wrestling team members earned team academic all-state honors: Nate Clute, Chase Holford, Ethan Bowen, Paige Campbell, Hunter Barker, Kara Kramer-Lake, Jonathon Rico, Killian Campbell, Victor Santiago-Ledesma, Demetri Davis, Sarah Schafer, Keegan Lange, Levi Scheid, and Jonathon Anderson. 

Girls Varsity Basketball 

The varsity girls basketball team earned academic all-state honors from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM).  Members of this year's team included Riley Browne, Josie Phelps, Alexias Daugherty, Jessa Swinehart, Rajalyaj Esquivel, Melayna Braman, Kyra Williams, Aubree White, Londyn Brown, and Brynn Reams.

The girls basketball team’s Brynn Reams and Jessa Swinehart earned the Outstanding Senior Award from BCAM.  To qualify players had to be a senior, played basketball all 4 years and have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher.

Boys Basketball

The varsity boys basketball team earned academic all-state honors from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM).  Members of this year's team included Travis Tucker Jr, Caden Brownell, Trevor Tooker, Lane Thomas, Sam Eppler, Lance Atkinson, Clay Currigan, Austin Currigan, Devon Reyes, Gauge McQueen, Miles Gregory, Jimmy Peabody, and Roy Hill.

The boys basketball team’s Jimmy Peabody and Trevor Tooker earned the Outstanding Senior Award from BCAM.  To qualify players had to be a senior, played basketball all 4 years and have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher.

Trevor Tooker also earned individual academic all-state  and BCAMs Best Honorable Mention All-State  Mention honors. To qualify for academic all-state, players must be nominated by their coach, be either a junior or a senior, have a GPA of at least 3.5 and be listed on one of the All-State Teams: Associated Press, Detroit News, Detroit Free Press, or BCAM's BEST.
