Congratulations to Tiffany Ferguson and Nick Szymanski who were named Independent Bank Student-Athletes of the Month for February.  Both student-athletes were recognized by Independent Bank representative Boomer Hoppough at the IHS student awards ceremony on Thursday, February 27th.  The award is presented to seniors based on leadership, academics, and athletics. Each student-athlete now qualifies for a chance to win the Independent Bank Student-Athlete of the Year scholarship presented on senior night to one male and one female athlete.

Tiffany was nominated by girls bowling coach Ron Farlin.  She has been a 4 year member of the bowling team and was recognized for being the February Student of the Month and exemplifies GRIT in everything she does at IHS. 

Nick was nominated by boys basketball coach Scott Swinehart, who expressed how he is a joy to coach and gave a long list of stats he leads the bulldogs in this season.  Nick has also led the boys program to back to back CAAC White championships.

Both Tiffany and Nick are not only successful in athletics but in the classroom as well, and serve as great role models for our younger athletes.  Congratulations to both of them for being recognized as the Independent Bank male and female student-athletes of the month for February.
