The Ionia Athletic Advisory Committee which is made up of 28 athletes from a variety of sports has developed a Coach Appreciation Week for each sports season.  The goal of coach appreciation week is for each athlete to write their coach or coaches a note, that lets them know how much they appreciate all the time and effort they put into your season.  Teams can also chip in to buy a small gift like their favorite soft drink or candy.

Winter sports team leaders worked to organize their teams ideas for what they wanted to do for their coach leading into the week.  Once teams collected all their notes they were tasked with presenting them to their coach or coaches throughout last week.  Below is a collage of our winter coaches and their gifts.
