2024-25 IMS SPORTS REGISTRATION

Ionia Middle School offers 9 school sponsored sports over 4 sports seasons.  It also works in cooperation with the high school varsity coaches, youth sports programs, and the Ionia Parks and Recreation Department to offer 10 Junior Bulldog programs throughout the year.

Registration can be completed online or in the Athletic Department Office at the HS:

Online registration is open and can be completed at any time.

In person registration will begin on Wednesday, July 31st and can be done during regular office hours from 7:00-3:00 on any day school is in session.

*Please note that if you played sports for IPS last year, you don't need to create a new account, as you should be able to login to your Student Central account to update your information, upload your current physical, and complete all acknowledgments.

In person registration may occur during normal business hours from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm at the HS with athletic secretary Wendi Gross (see schedule above for summer)

Complete all forms

Complete Handbook/Athletic Code acknowledgment form

Upload completed physical (please contact the athletic department office for help)

IPS and the MHSAA require all athletes to have a current physical on file for the 2024-25 school year to guarantee their health and safety.  Click on the link for physical forms and directions.

Open Runs: Tuesday 3/18, Wednesday 3/19 and Thursday 3/20 from 3:00-4:00 at the MS

Practice Begins: 

• Girls only Practice Tuesday, March 25th 3:00-5:00 @ the MS
• Boys only Practice Wednesday, March 26th 3:00-5:00 @ the MS
• First Combined Practice Thursday, March 27th 3:00-5:00 @ the MS

You do not have to register again if you played a school sponsored sport this year (volleyball/XC/basketball/wrestling/dance).  IMS School Sponsored Spring Sports Season of Boys and Girls Track and Field start at the end of March.

Junior Bulldog Sports Programs

The Junior Bulldog Sports programs are not school sponsored, but are run in cooperation with the Ionia Athletic Department, High School Varsity Coaches, Youth Sports Programs, and the Ionia Parks and Recreation Department.  These programs are offered to Middle School Aged students and younger for the winter and spring.  A complete list can be found in the link to more information about MS sports at the bottom of the page.
