On Friday April 25, 2025 The Ionia Boys Track and Field team competed in the Central Montcalm Hornet Invitational.  The Ionia boys gathered 13 PR’s  and medaled in 6 events on their way to a 4th place team finish in the Large School Division.

Medalists for Ionia included Henry Castle with a 3rd place finish in the Shot Put (46’-5.5”) and a 4th place finish in the Discus (123’-8”).  Mason Clark was 5th in the High Jump (5’-6”), Vincent Flohr 7th in the 110 High Hurdles (17.04).  Two of the Sprint Relay teams also medaled.  The 4 X 100 Relay team of Vinvent Flohr, Derrick Santana, Braylon Granger, and Scotti Kimber finished 7th (47.82) and the 4 X 200 Relay team of Vincent Flohr, Nolan Hart, Derrick Santana, and Scotti Kimber finished 8th (1:41.36).  Following are the other results for Ionia.  Full Results may be found at athletic.net.

The boys are next in action on Tuesday April 29th at Home for a CAAC White matchup with Portland and again next Friday May 2nd the Bulldogs will travel to Shepherd for the Blue Jay Invitational.  Please note our Senior / Parent Recognition will be moved to the Home meet against Charlotte on May 12th.
