WAVERLY MIDDLE SCHOOL: 70
Tonight, Ionia hosted Waverly for the last home game of the season. It was a tough home loss. Waverly put pressure early on, and the Bulldogs were unable to counter. At halftime, they were down 45-20. The third and fourth quarters saw Waverly continue to extend their lead. Final score was 70-29. The highlight of the game is that every player contributed to the scorebook. Leading scorer was Neithan Cruz with 7 points. Others were Evan White 5, Roeman Russell and Graham Lower with 4, Jacob Roman and Austin Henry with 3, Lorenzo Lopez with 2, and Hudson Hawley had 1. The Bulldogs are now 3-6 on the season. Their last game of the season will be on Wednesday, December 10, at Portland.
