The Ionia Bulldogs traveled to Lansing Catholic tonight for what was bound to be an exciting match! The Dawgs started off the night playing aggressively at the net, putting up 9 kill points. Molly Waterman served up 2 aces and both Kathryn Brown and Addyson Roundtree had 5 digs each. Despite their efforts, the Bulldogs fell just shy of the win at 26-28. 

I couldn't be more proud of the Ionia JV Team's GRIT and fighting spirit tonight! They really pulled together as a team and worked hard to earn a victory in game two against a tough team. Kathryn Brown had a great game with 4 kills and 3 nice digs in the second set. Everyone hustled and communicated well. Ionia took the set 25-20.

It all came down to the final set to 15 and the Dawgs knew they couldn't let Lansing Catholic pull ahead. The energy was high, and everyone was ready to work for the win. Emma White had a solid 4 kills and Ella Curtin had one. Lilly Reams had a kill and several assists. Alexias Daugherty played hard on defense and had some nice digs. The Bulldogs worked cohesively and fought for every point to win 15-11 over the Cougars.
