The Ionia bulldog girls tennis team tied East Kentwood on Monday 4-4. First singles Margaret Pischea lost 6-1,6-1 in her first match back since before spring break. Second singles Avelin McGuire lost 6-3,6-1. Third singles Abella Woodard lost 6-0,6-1. And fourth singles Amelia McGee lost 6-1,6-0.
First doubles Audrey Wall and Tessa Lemke won 6-4,6-0. Second doubles Amelia Griffith and Logan Thomas won 6-2,6-2. Third doubles Mariya Berry and Katelyn Weber won 6-2,4-6,10-3. And fourth doubles Camryn Robinson and Ellie Lamphere won 6-2,6-1. In a special fifth doubles match, Harleigh Kruger and Keagan Prescott lost 6-4,2-6,4-10.
The bulldogs are home tomorrow, weather permitting, against Lansing Everett for senior night. The match starts at 4:30.
