Game 1 Summary

Ethan Bowen (2-0) got the win for the bulldogs. He went 3 innings, 0 hits and 8 K's on the night.  

Offensively for the bulldogs Miles Gregory was 1-2 with a triple and two Rbi's, Ethan Bowen 1-2 and an Rbi, Matt McCoy 1-1 and 3 Rbi's, Austin Currigan 1-1, Kane Lundstrom had 2 Rbi's, Carter Castillo, Tyson McDiarmid, Alex Barr and Danny McCoy all added Rbi's.

Big Third Inning Propels Ionia Varsity Bulldogs to Victory Over Belding Black Knights

Ionia Varsity Bulldogs scored five runs in the third on its way to a 9-1 victory over Belding Black Knights on Tuesday.  The offensive onslaught by Ionia Varsity Bulldogs was led by Kane Lundstrom, Garrett Lee, Carter Castillo, and Alex Barr, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Ionia Varsity Bulldogs got things started in the first inning when an error scored one run for Ionia Varsity Bulldogs.

Ionia Varsity Bulldogs put up five runs in the third inning.  Lundstrom, Lee, Castillo, and Barr all drove in runs in the frame.

Castillo took the win for Ionia Varsity Bulldogs. The righthander allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking one.  Matt McCoy threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

#7 was on the pitcher's mound for Belding Black Knights. undefined lasted three innings, allowing five hits and nine runs while striking out three.  #20 threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Castillo, Barr, Daniel McCoy, Ethan Bowen, and Lundstrom each collected one hit to lead Ionia Varsity Bulldogs.  Bowen led Ionia Varsity Bulldogs with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.

#18 led Belding Black Knights with one hit in three at bats.
