Cal Yalacki pitched 4 perfect innings on cold windy day. He had 9k's and 0 hits. Ethan Bowen, Owen Delvin and Danny McCoy all pitched in relief of Yalacki. Owen Delvin picked up the win (1-0) and McCoy got his 1st save of the season. Yalacki, Bowen, McCoy and AJ Castillo all had hits for the bulldogs. Meyer, Delvin, Bowen and Collin Palmer each had an Rbi for Ionia.
In the top of the 8th inning Meyer drew a walk and Gerald Robinson courtesy ran for the Northwood University bound catcher. Robinson advanced on a wild pickoff throw, then stole 3rd base. Robinson then scored the winning run on a great read on a ball that glanced off the St Pats catchers glove. " Gerald really made something happen with his aggressive running and instincts", said Coach Lundstrom. The Bulldogs are now 3-0 on the season and will play again after spring break.
