Ionia JV Volleyball Falls Short at Lakewood Quad

Ionia Traveled to Lakewood tonight along with Marshall and St. John's. The Bulldogs took on the Vikings in the first match and put up a strong fight, but small communication errors and and missteps led to our defeat in two sets. Ionia lost 20-25 and 22-25. Ionia was ready to move on to their second opponent of the night, Marshall, and started off strong in game one, but a lack of momentum led the Dawgs to fall short again, losing the match in two. 21-25, 15-25. Hoping for a third match recovery, the Bulldogs pulled together as a team and came from a large point deficit against St. John's early in the first set, but couldn't quite get it back fast enough. Ionia lost 21-25 in set one. Set two started off nicely, with powerful serves and fast feet, but the Lady Dawgs couldn't pull off the win, and St. John's ended the set, 25-23.
