Congratulations to Maddie McGee who signed her letter of intent to continue her swimming career at Eastern Michigan University next year for the Eagles! 

With family, coaches, faculty, and administration looking on, Maddie took the first steps in the next phase of her swimming career while preparing to finish her high school career this Saturday at the MHSAA Swimming and Diving State Finals .  The daughter of Shaun and Bekki McGee has qualified for the state finals all four years of her high school career, earned all-state twice, has been a conference champion multiple times, and earned the CAAC Red Division Rick Ewards swimmer of the year award all while breaking numerous school records.  She is the most decorated swimmer in our program's history and looks to add to it this weekend.

Maddie is not only a great athlete who works hard in the pool but excels in the classroom and is the true definition of a student-athlete.  She plans on studying nursing next year at Eastern.

We wish Maddie the best of luck at this weekend's state finals as an Ionia Bulldog and in her future as an Eagle!
