On Saturday, the Bulldog lifters came out swinging and competed with some of the best lifters in the state and showed that they have the GRIT and tenacity to be a force this year at the state competition and in the coming years. Competing against 30+ teams at each level, the Ionia Bulldog Powerlifters toon on lifters from around the state in one of the most competitive meets that had a total of over 500 lifters competing in it. 

The Lady Dawgs took Third Place at both the JV and Varsity levels. Bringing home Medals were Bella Parmer (1st), Jadyn Garnder (2nd), McKenna White (2nd), Angie Reyes (2nd), and Bralynn Bledsoe (3rd). Earning Points for their teams were Rain Pinnow, Enma Rio, Hannah Luttman, Teagen Frisbie, Tanya Rojas, Addyson Roundtree, Ella Udell, and Isabella Glick.

The Male Lifters took 7th at both levels in competition against 31 teams while the JV took 7th out of 32 teams. Both teams worked hard and competed well. Earning points for the team were Ean Henry, Jay Ledesma, Ariel Rojas, Andrew Paton, James Crissman, Brennen Brownell, Gabriel Hatfield, Seth Woods, Clayton Beaulieu, and Carlos Ogdon. 

The regular season is now over and we wait to hear from the MHSPLA for confirmation on state qualifiers heading into the JV and Varsity State meets.
