The IMS boys and girls cross country teams opened their seasons Thursday night, running against Saranac and Lakeview.
The girls delivered some stellar performances, but fell just short. Saranac took the meet with 19 points, followed by Lakeview with 50, and Ionia 67. Amelia McGee paced the girls with a 9th place finish and a time of 14:24. Other top finishers included Charly Smith (11th-14:31), Tessa Masengale (14th, 15:31), Camryn Robinson (16th-16:04), Alexa Barna (17th-16:15); Kennedy Batista (20th-17:56) and Emma McCarty (23rd-18:22).
The Bulldogs will face Lansing Catholic middle school next Friday, September 18th at the St. Francis Retreat Center. Start time is at 5:30.
