What a match! The Ionia Girls A Volleyball Team played a thrilling 3 game match against Fowlerville this evening and won 18-25, 25-5, 16-14. The Lady Dawgs started strong taking a 10-2 lead but started to struggle with their offense. Fowlerville came back and won the first game. Ionia came out more focused and controlled the ball. Avery Hoppough sparked the Dawgs offense with great passing and allowed the team to attack at the net. The third game was a battle. It went back and forth. Ionia served well but made some errors that allowed Fowlerville to stay in the match. Ionia continued great team play and needed an extra point to secure the victory. Well done, Ladies! The A Team is now 7-2 on the season and will play at Portland on Wednesday. Go Dawgs!
