LANSING CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL: 45
Ionia Boys JV defeated Lansing Catholic Boys JV 58-45 in an old school, tooth and nail battle. The Bulldogs were up only 17-14 at half. Both teams were battling on the defensive end and it appeared that the first team to get it going offensively would take the game. Ionia did just that in the 4th quarter, scoring 24 points in the quarter alone while closing out the game strong.
Lance Atkinson put up 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Travis Tucker scored 10 and put together a fantastic effort on the defensive end. Harrison Yencher took 12 free throws and finished with 13 points. Austin Currigan and Sam Eppler led the run in the fourth quarter and really helped us seal the game.
The Bulldogs JV team is now 9-0 overall and 6-0 in conference play.
