Tough one tonight. A good introduction to some of the fast paced, ball possession teams we can look forward to playing this season.
Ionia played really hard tonight but Everett was a good, very physical team, and we struggled to contain them. 

We had a few players who really left it all on the field tonight. no one more so than senior Carter Castillo who looked to give everything on the defensive side tonight.

In the goals department tonight, Derrick Santana opened his account with a beautiful drive off of a thow-in from Gage Flanner. Zane Sarka also made a downfield sprint off of a Matt McCoy delivery to hit the back of the net for the seventh time in 3 games.

The season is young and we have a lot of good performances to look forward to so we don't need to dwell on this one. A lot of good lessons learned tonight, We'll look to get a training in tomorrow and then it's on to our next match scheduled for Wednesday Aug. 23, 5:30 pm at Lakewood who just joined the CAAC White Division. Let's welcome them to the division.
